Grandma's Visit

Micah is showing off his new outfit from Grandma.

My good friend Julie and her husband Tim came from Vancouver to visit for an afternoon.

Micah is crawling all over the place, chasing the cats.

He's going to be walking before we know it. He already knows what to do with his feet, he's just got to build up the strength in his legs. He's a big boy!

Micah's trip to the ZOO!

This is the view of Mount Rainier from across the street from our house.

Micah at the aquarium, taking it all in!

Micah is trying to hug his little girlfriend, Haley.

A peacock, just wandering around the parking lot.

Micah and I went to the Tacoma zoo with some friends. We only got through the aquarium and then to a bird show and the babies got pretty tired. There were three of us with our kids, Micah was the youngest at 7 months, then a 13 month old and an 18 month old. The 18 month old stayed longer and went through the petting zoo, but the two younger ones had to get home for their naps. We had a good time, although Micah won't remember a thing and didn't really understand anything when we were there. Okay, so the adults had a good time!

Helping Mom with Laundry

Okay, we're starting to learn how to do chores around the house. This was the first lesson: Learn how to FOLD the clothes. He is happy because he is enjoying the warmth of the clothes from the dryer. Not too much folding-action happening! In fact, there's more UN-folding happening than folding!

Next lesson: Put away the folded clothes. He looks mischievous here. He's making it difficult for mommy to teach him HOW, since he's sitting on them.

After all that hard work of learning to do the laundry, Micah needed a nap. He now turns onto his side or his stomach to sleep, and looks super cute!

I could not resist his booty-in-the-air pose. This photo was worth the risk of waking him, but thankfully he stayed sleeping. Sometimes I wonder how that could possibly be comfortable!
